Fusion Garage, a designer and developer of touch screen computing devices, has closed its $6.5M SGD second round of funding from existing and new private investors based in Singapore.
This brings the total amount raised by the company to date to $10M+ SGD. A third round of funding is expected to close by the end of this year.
Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Singapore, Fusion Garage intends to use the capital for new product development efforts as the company works to launch a new generation of products with multiple screen sizes to market during the first half of 2011. According to a press release, the new products will utilize a new operating system based partially on Google’s Android.
To support these efforts, Fusion Garage recently more than doubled its staff and opened development centers in Bangalore, India and Nanjing, China. As part of its first round of funding, the company received strategic investment from CSL Group to finance all of the manufacturing costs of its devices.
