Teambox, a Barcelona, Spain-based company that provides user friendly collaboration software for workspace communication, has closed a $250k seed funding round. This second angel financing will allow the company to set up the offices in the United States, hire new professionals in different areas of the organization and expand product adoption and functionality.
Officially launched in March, 2010, Teambox is designed to match social tools with online project management. It is used by freelancers, small businesses and large organizations worldwide.
In conjunction with the funding, the company announced that Manel Sarasa, Vice Chairman of Openbravo, has joined Teambox’ board of directors.
