According to reports, Lawdingo, a San Francisco, CA-based marketplace for securing legal services, has raised $100k in seed funding.
Backers include unnamed veteran engineers and entrepreneurs, who will commit to double the amount of the investment if the company hits certain (undisclosed) milestones.
Led by CEO Nikhil Nirmel, who was formerly the business intelligence lead at Yelp and Yodle, allows people to receive scheduled virtual legal consultations from small practice attorneys. Consultations can happen by video chat, phone or email, and are typically free for the first 20 minutes, and are billed by the minute thereafter.
Lawdingo currently features 205 attorneys located in 36 states.
