Rysto, a Naples, Italy-based marketplace for the food and beverage service industry, raised $1m in venture capital funding.
The investment was made by Principia Sgr.
The company intends to use the funds for product development and international expansion.
Founded in 2013 by CEO Jacopo Chirici and Massimo Fabrizio, Rysto is a social platform that aims to connect job seekers and recruiters in the catering and hospitality sectors by simplifying and speeding up recruiting and training operations.
The company also offers online courses to improve the skills of the staff, occupational HACCP and Safety certifications, mandatory by law.
To this end, in addition to the funding, Rysto signed a strategic partnership with global E-Learning company Docebo to allow job seekers to acquire specific skills and knowledge in the food and beverage and hospitality sectors, which are characterized by a high staff turnover rate (up to 110%).
According to Chirici, Rysto aims to satisfy two key needs in the market: the connection among job seekers and recruiters and the qualification of several professionals before they start working.
Commenting on the partnership, Claudio Erba, CEO & Founder, Docebo, said: “the alliance between the two companies represents a critical step, given that the e-learning solutions of Docebo applied to workers in the food and beverage and hospitality sectors can further help Rysto expand their business abroad“.
