Swoon Editions Raises £1.2M in Funding

-

Swoon Editions (formerly known as Decoholic), a London, UK-based furniture brand, raised £1.2m in funding.

Backers included Index Ventures, Octopus Investments and other angel investors.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its range of products, and accelerate its marketing in the UK.

Founded in March 2012 by CEO Brian Harrison and Debbie Williamson, Swoon Editions offers high quality furniture at a discounted price. It does it using tools to identify trending styles. Based on them, the company then creates prototype designs and invite customers to vote on each piece in a design “Audition”  to identify pieces which appeal to a broad base of customers. It then produces those pieces with internationally known manufacturers.

Each design is sold as a numbered, limited “Edition” and made in a quantity to fill a dedicated shipping container.

The company is hiring.
