Washio, a Los Angeles-based startup that offers a mobile platform for on-demand laundry, raised $2.25m in seed funding.
According to TechCrunch, the round was led by Pejman Mar Ventures with participation from Sherpa Ventures, AME Cloud Ventures, Three Six Zero Group, Ashton Kutcher, Ron Burkle, Nas, Scooter Braun, etc.
The company intends to use the funds to expand into other markets (5 to 10 cities this year) and grow its enterprise business.
Led by Jordan Metzner, Founder & CE0, Washio has developed a mobile app that allows users to schedule laundry pickup and delivery from their phones, ensuring a 24-hour turnaround.
The service is currently available in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
