Global venture capital firm New Enterprise AssociatesĀ launched the second installment of its New York City-based design mentorship program, In the Studio.
Following the first edition (read here), In the Studio will provide up to six design teams with a two-week program, developed and produced in collaboration with New York City-based product studio All Tomorrows, led by Albert Lee, and with Liz Danzico, founding chairperson of the Interaction Design program at New York City’s School of Visual Arts.
Led by NEA Partner Dayna Grayson, the program provides designers with entrepreneurial or startup aspirations with mentorship, resources and opportunities to collaborate. Each team of two designers will be matched with a mentor with entrepreneurial and/or product design experience.
Applications are being accepted for the program, which will take place June 2nd through 17th, 2014. It will culminate in each team’s design of a prototype and a proposal for how the solution will inspire, improve upon, or solve a critical consumer or enterprise problem.
