OrderUp Raises $7M in Series A Venture Funding

orderup_logoOrderUp, a Baltimore, MD-based online and mobile food ordering and delivery service, raised $7m in Series A venture funding.

The round was led by Revolution Ventures with participation from Tim O’Shaughnessy, co-founder of LivingSocial. In conjunction with the funding, Revolution Ventures managing partner, Tige Savage, will join OrderUp’s board of directors along with Chris Brandenburg, co-founder of Millennial Media.

The company intends to use the funds for national growth and development of its delivery technology and services.

Launched in 2009 by co-founders Chris Jeffery and Jason Kwicien, OrderUp provides restaurants with tools and technology to create customized digital ordering and delivery solutions for their customers.
In addition to owning and operating many locations into 35 markets, the company provides franchising opportunities in select towns.
OrderUp will also open two offices in New York City and Boulder, Colorado to build out their development and marketing teams.
