Moonit Labs, a New York City-based developer of social discovery apps, recently closed a $1.5m angel funding.
Backers included unnamed both domestic and international private, high-net-worth angel investors and seed funds.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its global presence.
Led by CEO Mason Sexton, Moonit Labs is an app laboratory that creates social user experiences spanning mobile, desktop, Facebook and email.
Its app “MEET”, available for iOS and Android, allows users to expand their social circles all over the world by messaging each other, sharing pictures and exchanging gifts right in the app.
Moonit had previously raised over $1m via angels in the form of convertible notes.
