Fifth Corner Inc. Ltd, a Helsinki, Finland-based provider of a wellness app that connects people through micro-actions, closed a $550k seed financing round.
The round was led by London-based VC Wellington Partners and angel investors from Finland and the UK.
Founded in 2014 by Nelli Lähteenmäki, CEO, as a spin-off from Health Puzzle Ltd, Fifth Corner is builing YOU-app, a mobile wellness app that connects people through micro-actions. By combining social media features and wellbeing, it gives daily micro-actions that users complete by taking a picture and sharing it with their friends and followers. The actions celebrate food, mindfulness, movement and the things users like.
The company recently entered a partnership with Jamie Oliver,”with the joint goal of inspiring and encouraging everyone to live happier, healthier lives – one achievable micro-action at a time“.
YOU-app’s early access version is available in the App Store starting January 1, 2015. The official launch will be in February/March 2015 and the Android version will be available in second quarter of 2015.
