True Link Financial, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of anti-fraud and scam protection services for caregivers of aging adults, closed a $3.4m seed funding round.
The round was led by Cambia Health Solutions with participation from Kapor Capital, Collaborative Fund, and Generator Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to grow its customer base and continue to invest in its service.
Launched in 2013 by CEO Kai Stinchcombe and co-founder Claire McDonnell and backed by Y Combinator and True Link provides a fraud protection algorithms and core technology that protects vulnerable seniors from scams, fraud, and financial exploitation by providing them with a form of payment to make daily purchases. It offers a customizable Visa card designed for family caregivers to safeguard the finances of their aging people. The family can set up the card so it always works when seniors are out making sure they don’t lose money to pushy telemarketers, predatory mail solicitations, sweepstakes scams, or other unscrupulous merchants.
