Twenty20 Raises $8M in Series A Funding

twenty20Twenty20, a Marina Del Rey, Calif.-based provider of crowdsourced real-world images, raised $8m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Canaan Partners with participation from First Round Capital, Bullpen Capital and VersionOne Ventures.

The company plans to use the funds to scale and open up partnership opportunities with advertising agencies and media buyers.

Led by Matt Munson, founder and CEO, Twenty20 is a crowdsourced, real-world imagery platform that connects photographers who satisfy the demand for engaging, user-generated content with creative professionals.
Launched out of beta, it already boasts over 45 million photos from over 250,000 photographers in 154 countries.
Twenty20 has already been used by brands such as West Elm, Washio and The Audience.
