Security Scorecard Raises $12.5M in Series A Funding

securityscorecardSecurity Scorecard, a New York City-based provider of global threat intelligence and risk awareness platform, raised $12.5m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Sequoia Capital with participation from existing backers Boldstart and Evolution Equity Partners. In conjunction with the funding, Michael Goguen, a partner at Sequoia, joined Security Scorecard’s board.

Founded in 2013 by CEO Dr. Aleksandr Yampolskiy and COO Sam Kassoumeh, SecurityScorecard provides a platform for businesses to predict and remediate potential security risks by collaborating on issues with partners and vendors.
Clients include Fortune 500 leaders in financial services, retail, healthcare and manufacturing industries including Trinet, Gilt Groupe, Deerfield Management, Shutterstock, and Harry’s, among others.
