New York-based venture capital and private equity firm Insight Venture Partners closed two funds.
The closings include Insight Venture Partners IX, L.P., a $3.29 billion fund, and Insight Venture Partners Growth-Buyout Coinvestment Fund, L.P., a $1.46 billion co-investment vehicle that will co-invest in control transactions with Fund IX.
Commitments from existing investors contributed a majority of the capital in the new funds.
The new capital will be deployed for growth equity in software and internet companies seeking investment opportunities worldwide and investing in both minority and majority transactions.
