Ibotta, a Denver, CO-based retail shopping app, secured $40m in Series C funding.
The round was led by Jim Clark.
The company intends to use the funds to scale its mobile loyalty platform, to continue growing its consumer base and triple its current team.
Led by CEO Bryan Leach, Ibotta provides a U.S. retail shopping app that gives users cash back when they shop. Every week, the company features cash back rebates from hundreds of brands which sells daily essentials at grocery stores, apparel for men, women and children; beers, wine and spirit bottles; and opportunities to earn in a variety of other categories as well.
Available for free via the Apple App Store or Google Play store, the currently has over 10 million downloads in the United States.
The company has partnerships with more than 150 retailers at over 500,000 locations across the country.
