HarperCollins Italia has acquired 20Lines, a platform and community of writers and readers.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
According to a written note, the acquisition will allow HarperCollins Italia to increase its digital presence.
Launched in 2012 by Alessandro Biggi, Pietro Pollichieni, Marco Pugliese and Francesco Scalambrino, 20Lines provides a social network app to write, read and share short stories. The app, currently available in seven languages (Italian, English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese and Russian), has 220k subscribers with over 15k new stories published every month.
The company was incubated within H-Farm and was backed by United Ventures and Club Italia Investimenti.
