Weka.IO, Tel Aviv, Israel and San Jose, USA-based software defined storage (SDS) technology provider, closed a Series B funding.
Backers included Qualcomm Incorporated, which made the investment via Qualcomm Ventures, Gemini Israel Ventures, Norwest Venture Partners, WRV II, L.P. and several individual investors.
The company, which has raised over $32m to date, intends to use the funds to to continue building the engineering team and accelerate its go-to-market strategy, with immediate plans to expand sales and marketing in the USA.
Founded in 2013 and led by Michael Raam, President and CEO, Weka.IO has developed patent-pending technology that scales storage to hundreds of Petabytes, tens of millions of IOPs, with milliseconds latency.
