RightCapital, Inc., a NYC-based financial planning platform for registered investment advisors and independent broker-dealers, secured $1m in seed funding.
The round was led Camellia Venture Capital – a New Jersey based venture capital firm that focus on early-stage, high-growth fintech companies, with participation from individual strategic investors Jac Herschler, Bruce Ferris, and Chanjuan Pan.
The company intends to use the funds to reach more advisors and deliver significant product updates.
Founded in 2015 by Shuang Chen, CEO, and Song Chen, RightCapital develops financial planning software featuring interactive tools that can be shared by advisors and clients. In the first ten months, since the platform went live in September 2015, RightCapital has on-boarded more than 200 financial advisory firms.
