Blockchain Startup Factom Raises $4.2M in Series A Funding

factomFactom, Inc., an Austin, Texas-based blockchain technology company that secures data via decentralization, raised $4.2M in Series A equity funding.

The round was led by Tim Draper of Draper Associates.
The entire list of investors include:

angel investors Kevin Spiers, Darla Spiers, Hillary Ryan, Leon Fu, Roland Hicks, Marc Shubert Living Trust Dtd.

The company intends to use the funds to grow operations and to further develop its core technology and suite of products.

Led by Peter Kirby, CEO and Co-founder, and Paul Snow, Chief Architect and Co-founder, Factom is advancing the Factom Apollo and Factom Iris premium products, which are built on its open source core software to secure records and identity.
