OPĀQ Networks, a Herndon, Va.-based post-revenue Network Security-as-a-Service (NSaaS) company, raised $21m in Series A funding.
Backers included Columbia Capital, Harmony Partners and Zero-G Inc.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate research and development, operations, and customer growth.
Led by Glenn Hazard, chief executive officer, and Ken Ammon, chief strategy officer, OPĀQ Networks provides a cloud-based management service that enables organizations to simplify, centralize, and secure their networks.
Use cases include Distributed Branch Enablement & Optimization, Security Product Displacement, Securing SaaS Applications, On Demand Security Deployment, Threat Management and Backhaul Offload.
