Pitchero, a Leeds, UK-based web development platform for sports clubs, raised £3.1m in Series A funding.
The round was led by by ICM.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations.
Founded in 2007, Pitchero provides clubs, and league or county organizations with the tools they need to create a website, manage their membership and collect payments online. Each website is supported by a range of mobile apps designed to improve club and team communication.
Pitchero, which works as a free service supported by optional premium packages and online advertising, currently powers over 12,000 websites, reaches over 5 million users each month and has registered database of 1.2 million members.
