Fairygodboss, a NY-based marketplace where professional women meet employers, closed a $1m seed financing round.
The round was led by Mr. William Greenblatt, Chairman and founder of Sterling Talent Solutions, who joined Fairygodboss’ board.
Launched in 2015 by Georgene Huang and Romy Newman, Fairygodboss enables large and small companies to source, recruit and retain women in their workforces. Adding to its initial roster of early clients, employers in a wide-ran industries, including Apple, Dell, Fidelity, IBM, PepsiCo, PwC, Target and Zynga, are currently working the platform. Women receive company ratings, job listings, discussion boards and career advice.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to grow its audience of professional women and the network of employer partners.
