FinScience, a Milan, Italy-based fintech startup, closed €1m seed funding round.
A group of unnamed angel investors participated in the round.
Founded in 2017 by a team of previous Google Italia senior managers, who have strong expertise in big data management and in digital intelligence field, FinScience has developed a platform that gives simple access to alternative data to people who work in financial industry. The software leverages AI algorithms, collects, classifies, analyzes and summarizes huge amount of digital data from different sources (social networks, web sites, blogs, etc.) to find signals potentially connected with financial assets price trends in the medium-long term.
FinScience alternative data sets enrich traditional information used for financial analysis.
The company intends to use the capital to support the commercial launch, to enlarge the tech team and to develop FinScience software adding new features and machine learning algorithms to the platform.
