Locus Robotics, a Wilmington, MA-based provider of autonomous, mobile robots for use in e-commerce fulfillment warehouses, secured $25m in Series B funding.
The round was led by Scale Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors.
The company will use the proceeds to make investments in product development and go-to-market activities, into international markets, and in its subscription-based robot fleet.
Led by Rick Faulk, CEO, Locus Robotics provides a SaaS based warehouse robotics solution for retailers and third-party logistics (3PL) operators to achieve efficient e-commerce fulfillment operations, while simultaneously managing both labor costs and seasonally fluctuating order volume.
The company’s autonomous robots aim to work collaboratively alongside workers, helping them pick items 100-200% faster, with near-100% accuracy, and less labor compared to traditional picking systems.
The technology integrates into existing warehouse infrastructure without disrupting workflows.
