Bugsnag, a San Francisco, CA-based error monitoring and management platform for web and mobile apps, received an investment from GV (formerly Google Ventures) as a part of its Series B funding.
GV joined existing investors Matrix Partners and Benchmark Capital.
Founded in September 2012 by James Smith and Simon Maynard, Bugsnag provides a crash and error monitoring platform for software teams to improve their code quality and customer experience. Its platform provides software teams with automated crash detection and alerting tools, and enables fast bug fixes with prioritization and diagnostics dashboards. To date, Bugsnag has monitored over 1 trillion application sessions from thousands of top technology companies, including Airbnb, Eventbrite, Lyft, Mailchimp, Namely, Pandora, Shopify and Square.
It supports the top frontend, backend and mobile application development frameworks, including Javascript, Unity, Ruby, iOS, Android, macOS and .NET from a single product. Also, it integrates with common tools such as Jira, GitHub and Slack.
In addition to the investment, the company has also announced the immediate availability of enhancements to its Bugsnag product offering, including a releases dashboard that provides insights into the health of each application release.
