InfluxData Secures $35M in Series C Funding

InfluxData, a San Francisco, CA-based modern Open Source Platform for analyzing metrics and events (time series data) for DevOps and IoT applications, closed a $35m Series C round of funding.

The round was led by Sapphire Ventures, with participation from new investor Harmony Partners and existing investors Battery Ventures, Mayfield Fund and Trinity Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Anders Ranum, partner, Sapphire Ventures, will join the Board of Directors.

The company, which brings total funding to $60m, intends to use the funds to continue to expand Sales, Marketing and R&D and accelerate its growth internationally.

Led by Evan Kaplan, CEO, InfluxData provides InfluxDB, a modern open source platform built specifically for metrics, events and other time series data (whether it comes from humans, sensors, or machines) that allows developers to build next-generation monitoring, analytics and IoT applications.
The company has more than 400 customers including Cisco Systems, Coupa Software, IBM, Nordstrom, Tesla and SAP.
