Cybersecurity Company New Knowledge Raises $11M in Series A Funding

newknowledgeNew Knowledge, an Austin, Texas-based cybersecurity company that protects corporations from covert, coordinated disinformation campaigns, raised $11M in Series A funding.

The round was led by existing investor GGV Capital, with participation from Lux Capital.

The comany intends to use the funds to expand its sales and marketing to scale in new markets.

Founded by by CEO Jonathon Morgan, New Knowledge is a cybersecurity company specializing in disinformation defense for highly visible brands under attack by coordinated and covert digital manipulation campaigns. The company’s combination of artificial intelligence and human analysis work to identify attacks, analyze the source and mitigate the spread of malign narratives.
Since its launch in 2015, New Knowledge has served clients across entertainment, energy, financial services and defense sectors to protect their online communities, their brand reputation and integrity.

The company is based in Austin, Texas and is backed by GGV Capital, Moonshot Capital, Haystack Ventures, Geekdom Fund, Capital Factory and Spitfire Ventures.
