Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) acquired Stamplay, an Italian startup that has created an API-based development platform allowing web developers to build and launch full-featured cloud-based web apps with no code.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
Co-founded by Giuliano Iacobelli and Nicola Mattina, Stamplay provides an API-based development platform featuring a web-based editor which includes everything a developer needs to create and run a backend for their app, including APIs like Stripe (payments), Sendgrid (email), Twilio (SMS and VoIP), Pusher (realtime notifications) and more without worrying about servers, back-end coding or API integration.
The company was accelerated within 500 Startups.
The development team of the company also included:
