AB Trav och Galopp (ATG), Swedish former horse racing monopoly operator, completed the acquisition of Ecosys AS, a Silkeborg, Denmark-based gaming company operating the Bet25.dk sports betting brand.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
With the acquisition, ATG will grow in the Danish market and will add the Ecosys brands to its portfolio giving customers an even more attractive gaming experience.
In November 2017, ATG signed an agreement to acquire Ecosys A / S. The agreement was conditional on the Swedish gaming market being re-regulated in accordance with the gaming investigation proposal.
The new game law came into force on January 1, 2019, and ATG can therefore now complete the deal.
Founded in 2007, Ecosys is a Danish gaming company group, which today consists of the Bet25 (sports betting), Rød25 (casino), Casino GO (mobile casino) and Café Bet25 (gaming café) brands.
The online gambling and betting market is projected to reach $94.4 billion by 2024 which is a growth rate of 10.9% between 2028 and 2024.
