Showpad, a Ghent, Belgium- and Chicago, IL-based provider of a sales enablement solution, raised $70m in Series D debt and equity funding.
The round was led by Dawn Capital and Insight Partners with participation from existing investor Hummingbird Ventures and new investor Korelya Capital.
Silicon Valley Bank provided the debt financing for the deal.
The company intends to use the funds for:
– continued global expansion, including penetration into the European market,
– new product development,
– addition of more than 200 new jobs in 2019.
Founded in 2011 and led by Pieterjan Bouten, CEO, Showpad provides a sales enablement software platform that allows teams to improve sales content management, onboarding, training, and coaching to empower sellers, engage buyers, and win deals. The company currently serves more than 1,200 global enterprise and midmarket customers, including Johnson & Johnson, GE Healthcare, Bridgestone, Honeywell, and Merck.
In 2018, Showpad acquired two technology companies to broaden its sales enablement capabilities. These include sales training software LearnCore and meeting intelligence platform Voicefox.
The company also has offices in Brussels, London, Munich, Wroclaw, San Francisco, and Portland.
