Luma Health Raises $16M in Series B Funding

luma healthLuma Health, a San Francisco, CA-based patient engagement platform, raised $16m in Series B equity funding.

The round, which brought total equity funding to $25.7, was led by PeakSpan Capital with participation from Cisco Investments, the Texas Medical Center, and continued investment from U.S. Venture Partners.

The company intends to use the funds to hire additional talent to expand the platform and expand its business reach.

Led by CEO Adnan Iqbal, Luma Health provides a patient engagement solution for healthcare providers to automate communications. The solution delivers smart conversations that drive patient engagement and continuous care, connecting thousands of providers and more than seven million patients across the U.S.
The company partners with over 300 healthcare organizations across the US.
This year, Luma Health formalized its partnership with Epic and announced additional EHR integration partnerships with athenahealth’s Marketplace and Nextech Systems. Additional collaborations include Uber Health and Cisco Webex Teams to allow patients to get the care when transportation or mobility barriers may be in the way.
