Incredible Health, a San Francisco, CA-based health care hiring platform, raised $15m in Series A funding.
The round, which brought total funding to $17m, was led by Andreessen Horowitz with participation from NFX, Obvious Ventures, Precursor Ventures and Gingerbread Capital, Matt Mickiewicz, founder of Hired, Steve Goodman, and Pete Kazanjy, founder of Talentbin (acquired by Monster).
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the national expansion of its platform and create a true community for health care professionals as they advance their careers.
Co-founded by MD and Wharton alum Iman Abuzeid (CEO) and MIT alum from a family of nurses Rome Portlock (CTO), Incredible Health provides a career marketplace connecting nurses to permanent hospital jobs (not travel nurses).
It is already used by 150 major hospitals throughout California, including Stanford Health Care, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and CommonSpirit Health.
The company leverages proprietary algorithm-based technology that custom matches the needs of hospitals with the right nurses.
