Sigma Computing Raises $30M in Series B2 Funding

sigmaSigma Computing, a San Francisco, CA-based cloud business intelligence (BI) and analytics platform, raised $30m in funding.

Backers included existing investors Altimeter Capital and Sutter Hill Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to expedite product innovation and expand its customer base.

Led by Rob Woollen, CEO and Co-Founder, Sigma provides a BI solution that makes data stored in a company’s cloud data warehouse accessible across the organization. Its spreadsheet-like interface and SQL-optional technology allows employees outside the data team to ask any question of their data and derive valuable insights.
Sigma enables data teams to collaborate with business experts, resulting in accelerated time to insight and significant analyst resource savings.

The company’s list of customers includes Volta Charging, Navis, Olivela, and Zumper. Cloud data warehouse partners include Snowflake, Google BigQuery, and Amazon Redshift.
