Unity Technologies, a San Francisco, CA-based platform for creating and operating interactive, real-time 3D (RT3D) content, acquired Finger Food Advanced Technology Group, a Vancouver, Canada-based professional services organization specializing in building solutions for global companies.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The acquisition of Finger Food Advanced Technology Group will accelerate Unity’s growth into additional industries that can take advantage of real-time 3D technologies but lack the internal infrastructure or technical expertise to get started.
Finger Food will join Unity Industrial, the division that ensures the development and deployment of scalable RT3D solutions and services to any industry or enterprise. Unity will retain all 200+ members of the company to help drive further RT3D adoption.
Founded in 2009 and led by Ryan Peterson, Chief Executive Officer, Finger Food Advanced Technology Group utilizes in-house expertise in AI, AR/VR, Blockchain, Robotics, and IoT, to create cloud, web, mobile, machine and advanced-interface solutions for Global 1000-level clients. including Lowe’s, Enbridge, and Softbank Robotics.
Unity provides a platform for creating and operating interactive, real-time 3D (RT3D) content for companies like BMW, FCA Group, Daimler, Skanska, Gensler, and Lockheed Martin to increase productivity, drive collaboration, and speed up time-to-market.
