Ermetic, a Palo Alto, CA- and Tel Aviv, Israel-based cloud access risk security company, closed a $17.25M Series A round of financing.

The round, which brought total funding raised to date to more than $27m, was led by Accel, with participation from Glilot Capital Partners, Norwest Venture Partners and Target Global. In conjunction with the funding, Andrei Brasoveanu, Partner at Accel, has joined Ermetic’s board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to scale research & development, go-to-market, sales, marketing and customer support initiatives for its Cloud Infrastructure Entitlements Management platform.

Led by Shai Morag, CEO, Ermetic provides organizations with solutions to enforce tighter, least privilege access policies across both user and machine identities to prevent data breaches in AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform. The company’s analytics-based solution prevents cloud data breaches by automating the detection and remediation of identity and access risks in Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings from Amazon, Google and Microsoft. It automatically discovers all human and machine identities in the cloud, and analyzes their entitlements, roles and policies using a continuous lifecycle approach.
