Storyful, a Dublin, Ireland-based start up that provides tools and services to help news organizations find relevant stories on social media sites, has received an investment of undisclosed amount from the AIB Start-Up Accelerator Fund, managed by ACT Venture Capital.
Set up by ex RTE journalist Mark Little, the company aims to leverage the power of social networks to create a cooperative and socially useful journalism.
Using a story building tool, users can publish stories on the website’s community pages, and share and spread them on Facebook and Twitter, in order to reach a global audience.
Technology entrepreneur Ray Nolan is among the investors in the company.
