Greylock Partners, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm, announced the promotions of Isaac Fehrenbach and David Thacker to the position of associate partner.
As stated by Greylock partner, David Sze, in their new roles Fehrenbach and Thacker will invest in promising startups and growth stage tech ventures and draw from their operating experience to help entrepreneurs build great companies.
“David and Isaac have become trusted advisors to a number of Greylock-supported companies. They have shown tremendous potential and I am enthusiastic about what they can achieve in the future”. Sze added.
Isaac Fehrenbach invests in early stage companies that operate at the intersection of cleantech and IT and in growth stage cleantech businesses.
Fehrenbach, who joined Greylock in 2003 as an associate, has sourced investments in Data Robotics and ZeroG Wireless.
David Thacker invests in consumer and enterprise technology ventures, including sectors such as software-as-a-service (SaaS), mobile, e-commerce and online advertising. He joined Greylock as a principal in late 2008. During his tenure, he brought to the firm a number of investments, including Gowalla, Pandora and Redfin. In addition, he advises several Greylock-backed companies including Auditude, Oodle, Pandora and Redfin. Currently, Thacker is on the board of directors at Gowalla.
