-

ShopIgniter, Inc., a Portland, Ore.-based multi-channel ecommerce software provider, has secured $3m in Series A venture capital funding.
The round was led by Madrona Venture Group.
The ShopIgniter platform, which integrates social media into core ecommerce functionality, enables retailers, wholesalers and product brands to merchandise products through FaceBook, find customers through Twitter, and manage all the functionality of their online store through an intuitive and easy-to-use interface.
The new capital will enable the company to accelerate sales and marketing efforts as well as further extend commerce functionality into both social and physical retail environments.
In conjunction with the round, Matt Compton, former Madrona Venture Partner, has joined ShopIgniter as CEO.
