Vifan Canada Inc., a Lanoraie (QC), Canada-based manufacturer of packaging products for the food industry, received $500,000 in repayable funding from the Government of Canada under the Business and Regional Growth program.
This assistance will go toward the acquisition of a state of the art plastic recuperator, which makes it possible to reuse polypropylene plastic wastes from finishing operations in the production of plastic film.
The new equipment will facilitate the recovery of approximately 1,600 tons of plastic per year, representing annual savings of $1 million.
