Connotate, Inc., a New Brunswick, N.J.-based provider of solutions that help organization collect content and from the Web, has raised $5.25m in venture capital funding from 406 Ventures.
The capital infusion will allow the company to expand sales and marketing operations and to continue to develop its products.
Based on a patented intelligent agent technology developed at Rutgers University, Connotate allows organizations including financial services firms, content aggregators and distributors, and government agencies, to quickly aggregate content from more than 3m Web pages per day and transform unstructured data into understandable intelligence.
Connotate’s agents, which operate on a 24 x 7 basis, can be created using an easy graphical user interface. Content is delivered over differnt media including RSS, email, XML, text messaging, file systems and direct feeds to SQL databases and Excel.
According to the company, the plafform allows customers to experience advantages in terms of productivity gains, mitigated risks, reduced costs, and more informed decision-making.
