Alelion Batteries AB, a Nödinge, Sweden-based developer and manufacturer of energy storage systems for the automotive industry, has received a KRO28m venture capital investment.
Investors include Fouriertransform AB (FTAB) and some of the company’s existing owners, including Pegroco Invest. Following the transaction, Fouriertransform becomes the largest shareholder in the company.
The new capital will allow the company to expand production and sales efforts and strengthen its position in the Nordic region.
Founded in 2006 as a spin-out from ETC Batteries and Fuelcells, a R&D company for advanced energy solutions, Alelion Batteries AB is based in Nödinge, where they have a 1600 m2 production area.
