WebMediaGroup, a Paris, France-based operator of a network of web sites essentially dedicated to women, has received a €2m equity investment from Turenne Capital and Promelys Participations.
The funds will be used to accelerate the expansion of the company, which was founded in 2007 by web professionals including Isabelle Bordry, the current President, Orianne Garcia, and Géraldine Le Meur.
In conjunction with the funding, Hervé Dusanter, previously CFO of AOL France and Yahoo! France, has joined the team of the company, wich operates Badiliz, a network of free classifieds, Siandso, a marketplace dedicated to creators to sell their homemade products, and Maisonfacile, which offers products and advice about the world of house equipment.
