CloudCrowd, a San Francisco, CA-based labor-as-a-service provider, has raised $5.1m in a Series B funding round led by Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ).
The new capital will enable the company to expand services and features of its on-demand labor platform and drive business development efforts.
In a 2.0 crowdsourcing environment, CloudCrowd helps companies reduce overhead, increase efficiency, and lower costs. Through a proprietary online platform that brings work and workers together, the company breaks large projects into smaller tasks and distribute them to more than 35,000 registered workers.
Launched in 2009, the company uses a proprietary peer review and worker credibility system designed to ensure the accuracy of finished work.
