Viridity Software, a Burlington, MA-based provider of data center energy resource management (ERM) solutions, has raised an additional $8m in Series B funding.
The round, which was led by existing investors Battery Ventures and North Bridge Venture Partners, follows-on a successful Series A funding of $7m.
The new capital will be used to accelerate marketing activities and expand the development of the company’s EnergyCenter software platform, which allows IT and facilities managers to understand power consumption and equipment utilization to increase data center energy productivity and efficiency.
In addition, the EnergyCenter’s patented optimization engine provides actionable information to improve data center energy efficiency and space utilization, increasing savings on capital and operating costs.
