MedExpress Urgent Care, a Morgantown, West Virginia-based operator of care facilities offering medical treatment to non-life threatening injuries and illnesses, has received an investment of undisclosed amount from General Atlantic LLC and Sequoia Capital.
As also stated by Dr. Frank Alderman, Co-Founder and CEO of the company, the capital infusion, will help MedExpress expands nationally and scale operations.
Founded in 2001, the company operates facilities in Colorado, Florida, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The centers are staffed by a physician and supported by a full medical team. They are open 12 hours a day, 7 days week.
