TuneUp Media, a San Francisco-based provider of a plug-in for iTunes, has raised a $4.3m Series C round of funding.
The investment was led by IDG Ventures, with participation from original seed-funder KPG Ventures.
With over 1.5 million registered users, TuneUp Media corrects song metadata, and offers a suite of features including personalized concert alerts, music videos, artist bios and news, as well as Twitter and Facebook integration.
As stated by Gabriel Adiv, Founder and CEO of TuneUp Media, this round of funding will support the company’s vision “of providing the best possible music management tools and discovery resources for music collections worldwide.
“We are very excited to expand our product-line and to bring these new innovations to music lovers everywhere”, he added.
TuneUp was founded by Adiv and Raza Zaidi in 2007.
