TruMarx Data Partners, Inc., a Chicago, IL-based developer and provider of a web-based electronic marketplace (called COMET™) that allows customers to execute bilateral, non-standard, over-the-counter natural gas and power transactions, has closed its latest round of funding.
The round, whose amount wasn’t disclosed, was led by newly appointed board members Jerry Putnam and Kevin J.P. O’Hara, with participation from Vernon & Park Capital (http://www.vernonpark.com) and Walter G. Kortschak, who was also named to the board of directors.
Commenting on the funding, Jon Olson, Founder, President and CEO of TruMarx, said that the financial support would provide additional validation of the business strategy and prospects for growth.
TruMarx Data Partners’ customers include over 175 major energy market participants such as exchanges, brokers, producers, and consumers.
The company operates regional offices in Connecticut, Houston and Washington, D.C.
