Cloud Sherpas, an Atlanta, Georgia-based a cloud computing systems integrator, application developer and provider of Managed Google Apps Solutions, has secured $1.6m in Series A-1 financing.The round was led by Syncarpha Capital, Vento Security Holdings and Hallett Capital, the investment vehicle of Cloud Sherpas’ CEO, Jon Hallett.
The company will use the funds to expand software portfolio and accelerate adoption of Google Apps across major industries such as retail, manufacturing, high-tech, real estate, healthcare and government. According to a press release, Cloud Sherpas has already migrated over 600,000 enterprise users to Google Apps and its software is in use at over 8,000 organizations.
Cloud Sherpas recently closed deals with companies including Baird & Warner, Jason’s Deli, LifeWay and 22squared to allow them to migrate from on-premise platforms to the cloud with Google.
The company closed a Series A funding of around $1m in May 2010.
