MooBella, Inc., a Taunton, MA-based developer and supplier of a creamery machine’s multi-patented technology that allows consumers to make their own ice cream in less than a minute, has secured $9m in funding from Geneva-based Inventages.
This funding will allow the company to continue to expand penetration within the core foodservice channels and advance its technology. Since September of 2009 when MooBella received its Series A funding, the company has moved from research and development to a commercial enterprise with 45 commercial machines installed across a variety of segments.
As stated by Bruce Ginsberg, President and CEO of MooBella, Inc. the focus is on expansion throughout the Northeast at food service operations located at colleges, cultural centers, casual restaurants, tourist destinations, museums, airports, and other high traffic venues.
MooBella allows consumers to choose from 96 possible combinations via computer touch screen, and in three easy steps, make their natural ice cream.
