Mass Relevance, an Austin, Texas-based start up that helps consumer brands effectively use real-time social content to drive engagement on television, web, and mobile, has secured nearly $2m in Series A funding.
Investors include FLOODGATE and Austin Ventures. The round remains open for a few more strategic angel investors in the media and entertainment industry.
Launched by social marketing innovator Sam Decker and Ruby developers Brian Dainton and Eric Falcao, the company aims to help entertainment, media, retail, and manufacturing brands drive real-time engagement through social curation.
The company provides a SaaS social aggregation, curation and syndication technology and services that allow brands to engage audiences with real-time content and deliver tangible engagement metrics including audience viewership, time on site, page views, ad views, conversions and sales.
Mr. Decker will lead Mass Relevance as CEO.
In conjunction with the funding, FLOODGATE’s Mike Maples, Jr. will join the company’s Board of Directors.
